Preston was born and raised in Ozawkie, KS and grew up playing golf every chance he got. He played golf on a 4-year scholarship at Baker University, where he graduated in 2022 with a degree in business management. In 2020 and 2022 Preston served on the instruction staff at Prairie Highlands and Falcon Ridge golf course under Courtney Mahon, where he specialized in junior instruction. He is currently working through his PGA Certification to become a full time instructor. Preston was hired as an Assistant Golf Professional at Overland Park Golf in February 2023.
