Dakota was born in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up in central Nebraska and then graduated from Winfield High School in Winfield, Kansas. He played on a golf scholarship at Barton County Community College and Park University. In 2020, Dakota graduated with his Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism from Park University. Since graduating, he has held many golf industry positions. Starting out as as Assistant Golf Professional at the Deuce at the National, he moved on to become a General Manager of Bruce Hills Golf Club in Detroit, Michigan, then became a Head Golf Professional at X-Golf in Chicago, and most recently the Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach at Southwestern College in Winfield, Kansas. Dakota is excited to be back in the Kansas City area with his fiance Ashley. He loves going to support local KC sports teams and traveling to Lincoln, Nebraska for Husker Football Games in the fall. He has started to work towards his PGA and is excited to bring his experiences to St. Andrews.
