What would you say to a youth golf program that taught all the positive things involved with sports and wrapped them up in nine key values essential to correct living? Welcome to The First Tee. We like to say that kids are learning the game of life while learning the game of a lifetime.
Among many other skills, young people learn how to introduce themselves properly, accurately judge their abilities and set goals so they can improve their golf game and their lives. Ultimately, when a young person has completed all five levels of The First Tee Life and Golf Skills Experience they will have learned to live by The First Tee Nine Core Values™: honesty, integrity, sportsmanship, respect, confidence, responsibility, perseverance, courtesy, and judgment.
In 2013 The First Tee Program at the Sykes/Lady Overland Park Golf Course will be specific to the first level taught, The PLAYer level. Spring and Fall sessions are 6 week sessions ($90.00, meeting on the same day, same time, each week). Summer sessions are 9 week sessions ($135.00, meeting on the same day, same time, each week). Ages range from 9 to 14.
Please complete the registration form and the Participant Permission form available at either St. Andrews or Overland Park golf shops and return both along with payment to: Overland Park Golf Course.
